Our worship can best be described as relaxed and reverent. Worship is centered on the reading and proclaiming of Scripture. Our format follows the classic Reformed tradition which includes prayer of confession and an affirmation of faith. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper every Sunday, with choice of wine or white grape juice.
Our sanctuary has an organ (combination electronic organ utilizing some windblown pipes) that is used on occasion. Normally we use the piano. We sing from the acclaimed hymnal published by the Presbyterian Publishing Corporation in 2013, Glory to God, which contains traditional hymns, worship choruses, Taize chants, and global music.
We follow the liturgical calendar, recognizing Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Ash Wednesday, Lent, Holy Week services, Easter season, Pentecost, ending on Christ the King Sunday.
Children are encouraged to attend worship with their families so they can learn the songs, hear the stories, and pray the prayers. A nursery is available as needed.
